Today I got an opportunity to explore Rajsathani sweets in the heart of Nizam city in Begumbazar. I am born and broughtup in Hyderabad, But it took this long for me to taste these foods..
Ghever is a sweet originated in Rajasthan.It is disc-shaped, and made from oil, flour and sugar syrup. There are many varieties of Ghevar, including plain, mawa and Malai Ghever.It is very famous in the states of Uttar Pradesh , Haryana , Delhi , Gujrat , Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan. And is not so popular in our Hyderabad.This really melted in my mouth.
This mouth watering Ghever costs Rs.50/piece.Malai Ghever is Rs.20/piece
Ingredients of Goandh ka laddu: Cardamom powder, Peeled Melon seeds, Finely chopped Pistachios, Almonds, Cashew nuts,Flour etc. I really loved this laddu. 1 Laddu costs 30
This water fruit was good too itseems, Vamshi loved it….But my tastebuds didn’t accept it.
I hope there are lot more new foods in Hyderabad which I have to try..Get ready Hyderabad I’m coming……
