Beijing Opera

Introduction to Beijing opera:

Beijing Opera represents the finest combination of literature, music, dance, martial arts, fine arts, acrobatics and many other arts available. Its way of performing is of as much a feature, differing from opera, pantomime and drama.

The Peking Opera is a kind of art that pays equal attention to ‘Chang (Singing)’,’Nian (Speaking)’,’Zuo (Acting)’ and’Da (Fighting)’.Singing in Beijing Opera has the certain tune that expresses the sentiment of thedramatic personal.Speaking in the play is the speech except singing; (plz don’t think that they speak by singing).Acting is the performance of movement and expression.Fighting is the martial arts performed by dancing.

It enables the audience to be inspired by the affection, not only from the language but also from the music, the physique and the fine arts. Simultaneously, Beijing Opera provides the opportunity to appreciate the pleasing stylistic and artistic harmony of the dance and music, the strength of the rhythm and designs even from only experiencing one act.

Origin: Beijing Opera originated from the middle period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).it is melted down from guanxi and Jiangsu provinces. And most of the plays are based on four books

About the facial make up: According to my knowledge, Facial make up is of great importance in Beijing opera. It is the main and secret ingredient of the success of opera.

redface means loyal and brave, white face means duplicity, black face means justness and untouchables.golden and silver faces means mystery..(correct me if I am wrong)

“the marriage of the dragon and the phoenix “

On august 11 2010 In The famous Changan Grand Theatre (Chinese: 长安大戏院), jianguomen nei dajie chang’an bridge, Dongcheng District, Beijing

My experience was quite different.because I hardly understood anything. Actors were using Traditional Chinese which was quite difficult for me to understand

“The beauty of the language will be reduced when it is translated”. But I was left with no other options, so I have to read the English subtitles to understand

Subtitles helped me to understand the play to some extent. I couldn’t  stop myself to enjoy the play. And I regret that I totally forgot the story..

struggling between inflation and recession

In 2007, exchange rate for 10000rs was 1900rmb aprox
Following a gradual decrease every year. now it is 1300rmb
WTF is wrong with our economy?
recession recession recession…
yeah we were right before 2009 elections
we thought that our former economist Dr.manmohan singh will bring a change in our economy with his
good and well renowned reforms and thats true he made us unsustainable amd unbearable..i know people
may think that one person cannot change anything…but it is not man who is responsible for country’s
well being should bring a change…he is the system so he should bringa change he is the system so he has to make our
economy better

according to me there is no diffeernce between manmohan singh and macdonalds..both sits and watches the things going
and he is just the puppet in the hands of videshi sonia
see how terrible we are we just put the fate of our country in the hands of a foreigner..
even a drug addict is better than manmohan ji..atleast this drug addict can put an end to his addiction by joining rehabilition classes
but there is no cure for our pm ji’s addiction…
we are just watching our country looted by some politicians we did this so we have to face it…picture o mein dekh dekh ke takkgaya
change the system change the system bolke…pehle apan change hona uske baadh…
woh system jo bhi hai wo automatic badal jaayega
hope everything goes well in the next elections…hope we selct the right person…

ab china ke baare mein bolna bole toh…now the inflation rate is around 6.7 and is increasing day by day
and yuan value is increasing which is problematic for exchange students like us here…
woh bhi fees barne ke time mein yuan ka value ekdum badjaatha hai..baaki ke time theek rehta hai..see how funny it is..
ye saal mein august 1st week mein 1rmb=6.9rs taah..fee barne ke time mein i mean august 2nd week mein 7.103 hogaya..
its all our badluck
students in china are just struggling between inflation in china and recession in india…god dammit….!

I dont know what else we have see in our remaining time of our course…

Harbin’s world ice festival

Harbin’s world Ice and snow festival—This is the 4th largest Ice and Snow festivals, after  Japan’s Sapporo Ice festival, Canada’s Quebec city winter carnival and Norway ski festival.Harbin Icefestival (5)

Harbin is located in the northeast frontier of china and is the capital of Heilongjiang is one of the coldest cities in china. winter here is long & the mercury in the winter(dec to mid of february) gradually drops to -25 to -35 degree centigrade..Harbin Icefestival (9)

For the 1st time in my life I have been to such a place, where everything is ice and everything is in ice.the festival featured giant pagodas, skyscrapers, an Egyptian Sphinx and even a full-scale Disney castle ,birds nest, colosseums and a lot more rendered entirely in ice.the event also offers a wide range of wintry activities, including ice swimming(in songjiang river), hot air ballooning and other sports, as well as a fireworks display.Harbin Icefestival (15)Despite those bone-chilling conditions, the festival — which is even more spectacular at night, when its sculptures are lit with twinkling multicolored lights — have been known to inspire romance, and 2009 &2010’s display is certainly no exception…..
